Born in Rome to the royal couple of Italian cinema Silvana Mangano and Dino De Laurentiis, Veronica De Laurentiis discovered her love for acting early on the set of “Waterloo”. After a successful career designing clothes with her own brand, VDL Studio, which sold to major department stores and specialty boutiques throughout the US, she returned to acting, appearing in both American and Italian films, TV shows, and theater productions, including “Red Dragon”, “10th & Wolf “and “Entourage. In addition, she also had a role in “D’Ambra Grigia e Canfora”, a play written and directed by Raffaele Curi for the Fondazione Alda Fendi.

De Laurentiis is also a published author, with her autobiography “Rivoglio La Mia Vita” (Reclaiming My Life) detailing her search for truth. This work and her public speaking led her to create the non-profit “Associazione Veronica De Laurentiis,” which helps victims of violence reclaim their lives. In 2015, she returned to fashion collaborating with Fendi on a collection inspired by her mother, donating a percentage of sales to her non-profit to support women. She is back in fashion today with her new collection of faux fur bags with simplyVDL an accessory line that reflects her simple Italian elegance.

She lives in Los Angeles and Rome with her husband Ivan Kavalsky, a movie producer and former owner of a successful brand of luxury clothing.
